We use only the information needed to operate secure auctions.
Information we keep
Account email addresses, display names, password hashes, verification status, encrypted authenticator secrets, bids, bid rescissions, security tokens, sessions and administrator audit events are stored to operate and protect the auction.
How it is used
Email is used for account verification, password reset and confirmations of bids and rescissions. The administrator receives a separate copy. The winning bidder's contact details may be used by the administrator to arrange payment offline. We do not expose bidder email addresses in public lot pages.
Security and retention
Passwords and single-use email tokens are stored as hashes; authenticator secrets are encrypted. Bid and rescission history is retained to support fair results and auditability. Session and one-time-token records expire or are revoked as applicable.
